Terms of Service

Preamble

These Terms of Service (ToS) govern the use of the online game Spacy, a real-time multiplayer space strategy game accessible via web browser.

Service Description

Spacy is an online space strategy game where players manage planets, build infrastructure, conduct research, assemble space fleets, and interact with other players in a persistent universe.

Registration and Account

Registration is open to anyone aged 15 or older. In accordance with Article 45 of the French Data Protection Act and Article 8 of the GDPR, persons under 15 years of age cannot create an account.

Each player may only have one account. Creating multiple accounts (multi-accounting) is strictly prohibited and may result in the suspension or deletion of all related accounts.

Players are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. Any activity performed from their account is deemed to have been carried out by the player.

Code of Conduct

By using Spacy, the player agrees to:

• Not use third-party software, bots, scripts, or any other automated means to play
• Not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities. Any bugs discovered must be reported to the team
• Not harass, insult, or threaten other players
• Not impersonate another player or a team member
• Not distribute illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Not attempt unauthorized access to game systems or data

Communication Moderation

Messages exchanged between players (in-game mail, alliance chat, private discussions) are stored on our servers. The moderation team reserves the right to review these messages for the purposes of:

• Handling reports of harassment, threats, or abusive behavior
• Detecting and removing illegal content (legal obligation under French LCEN Art. 6)
• Verifying compliance with the game's code of conduct

Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are transmitted over a secure connection (HTTPS) and stored on servers hosted within the European Union.

Intellectual Property

All game elements (source code, graphics, text, sounds, game mechanics, user interface) are the exclusive property of the editor. No license is granted to the player on these elements beyond the right of use within the normal scope of the game.

In-App Purchases and Virtual Currency

Spacy offers optional purchases of Quantum Shards, a virtual currency used to acquire cosmetic items and boosters. Quantum Shards:

• Are purchased in euros, prices displayed including tax before confirmation
• Cannot be exchanged for real money
• Are not transferable between accounts
• Can only be used within the game

In accordance with Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the player expressly waives their right of withdrawal for any purchase of digital content whose execution begins immediately after confirmation.

Limitation of Liability

The editor strives to maintain the service accessible and functional but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The editor shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of game data, temporary service interruption, or changes to game mechanics.

Termination and Account Deletion

Players may request the deletion of their account at any time. Deletion results in the irreversible erasure of all associated data (planets, fleets, research, inventory).

The editor reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of these Terms of Service, without prior notice or compensation.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
