This page lists every cookie and browser storage item used by Spacy, its purpose and its retention period. It is generated from the service's own source code, so any technical change is reflected here on deployment.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also list here the data the game keeps in your browser's local storage, because it serves the same purposes and deserves the same transparency.

This register covers the spacy.games website and all game servers. The internal administration tool, restricted to our team, is not listed here and is documented in our record of processing activities.

Strictly necessary

Required for the service to work: login session, display language, remembering your cookie choice, anti-bot protection. Without them the game cannot run.

Audience measurement

Anonymous traffic statistics computed by our own Umami server running on our machines. No cookie, no persistent identifier, no cross-site correlation, no transfer to any third party. You can object at any time.

Error diagnostics

A recording of your session, captured only when an error occurs, so we can reproduce the failure and fix it. Input fields are masked, the recording goes to our own server and is never shared. Off by default: nothing is recorded without your agreement.

Third-party services

Spacy self-hosts its audience measurement (Umami), its error monitoring (Sentry) and its fonts: none of these three sends data to a third party, and no font is loaded from an external server. The only third party involved is Cloudflare, for anti-bot form protection and site delivery.

Manage my choices

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time, just as easily as you gave them.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Your choice is recorded with an anonymous reference that you can quote in any request concerning your data.
