Debris recycling

Every combat produces a debris field at the position where it took place. The field contains a portion of the resources invested in destroyed units — from both sides — and stays harvestable until depleted or decayed away.

Debris field creation

A debris field forms automatically at the end of every combat, on the attacked position. Its composition depends on the destroyed units:

  • Resources generated: —% of the total cost (metal, silicon and deuterium) of all destroyed units
  • Sources: destroyed ships AND defenses, from both sides (attacker and defender)
  • Only one debris field per position at a time — new combats at the same spot add to the existing field

Visibility

Debris fields are visible only in the Solar System view, around the planet at the affected position. On the galaxy map, only the presence of a debris field somewhere in the system is signaled — you must enter the system to see the exact position and detailed contents.

Harvest

To recover the resources from a debris field, send a fleet containing at least one Salvager on a Harvest mission to the field's position.

  • Required ship: Salvager (no offensive capability, targeted last in combat)
  • Collection rate: — units per Salvager per second, stacking linearly
  • Harvested composition: proportional to the metal/silicon/deuterium ratio in the field
  • Harvest stops when cargo is full or the field is empty
  • Multiple players can harvest the same field simultaneously, with no owner or protection

Decay and disappearance

  • Decay: -—% per day, applied hour by hour
  • Auto-disappearance below — total units (metal + silicon + deuterium)
  • Immediate disappearance once a field is fully emptied by Salvagers
