Rankings
Rankings measure your relative weight in the universe compared to other players. They aggregate into points every building you construct, every research you complete, every ship or defense you produce — and compare yours to everyone else's. Rankings refresh on a fixed schedule, not in real time.
The five rankings
Four rankings apply per player individually, and a fifth aggregates alliances:
- Total: sum of Economy + Research + Military + Infrastructure points (see below)
- Economy: cumulates the cost of every mine, refinery, synthesizer, solar plant, fusion reactor and storage you have built
- Research: cumulates the cost of all your technologies up to their current level
- Military: cumulates the cost of your fleet (all active ships) and all your defenses
- Alliance: sum of the Total points of all members of a given alliance
How points are computed
Every element (building, research, ship, defense) is worth a number of points proportional to its resource cost, converted through a single formula:
- Points = (metal × — + silicon × — + deuterium × —) ÷ —
- Deuterium weighs —× more than metal: rare resources are worth more points than common ones
- For a building or research, the cumulative cost of all paid levels is summed (not just the current level)
- For ships and defenses, unit cost is multiplied by the count you own
Zoom on the Total ranking
The Total ranking is a plain addition, not a weighted sum. It includes an "Infrastructure" category (Shipyard, Research Lab, Nanorobot Factory, Headquarters, Terraformation) that has no dedicated ranking but contributes to your Total.
- Total = Economy + Research + Military + Infrastructure
- Building a large Nanorobot Factory therefore raises your Total without affecting the Economy ranking
- Optimizing a single category isn't enough to dominate Total — you must invest everywhere
From Pioneer to Legend
Every player carries a title that shows their place in the universe, from Pioneer (just starting out) to Legend (among the best). The higher you climb in the Total ranking, the more prestigious your title becomes.
Alliance ranking
- An alliance's score is the sum of the Total points of all its members
- It is recomputed immediately on every join, leave or kick, then again on the next periodic refresh (every — minutes)
- An empty alliance does not appear in the ranking — but is not automatically deleted
Ranking updates
Rankings are not updated in real time. Everyone is reclassed at the same time every — minutes — no need to refresh your profile frantically after a big build.
- Banned players disappear from the rankings
- Vacation-mode and protected players remain in the rankings
- In case of a perfect points tie, account creation order breaks the tie
Rank-based rewards
Rankings serve as an influence barometer and competitive showcase. They do not trigger any automatic in-game reward: no weekly prizes, no top-X badges, no production bonus. It is up to you and your alliance to make them a strategic goal.
